Front airbags
The most
common methods for producing covers for front airbags involve gluing with
metal or welding with the polyamide housing. The decisive factor is not the
cost of the individual components but of the entire part. The high
resistance to tear propagation of our polyamide material allows it to be
fastened at the suspension points without needing any additional
reinforcement.
Our materials can easily be welded with ultrasound, which often avoids
critical glue failures. If required, the strength can of course be increased
with suitable reinforcements.
