Head protection airbags
The soft cover for the head protection
airbag is as a rule a tube that is about two metres long and has several
cutouts. The head protection airbag is located between the roof and the
inner lining. It runs on both sides of the vehicle from the A-column to the
C-column. In order to make optimum use of the restricted space between the
roof and the inner lining, the sleeve is narrower in the area of the
A-column compared to the rest of the area.
Our qualified fleece materials meet all the requirements for
resistance to tearing and tear propagation and to the temperatures
encountered in the roof area of the car. The material can be reinforced at
the suspension points if especially critical requirements apply. The
relevant standards of the car industry for safety-related components are
reached. The seam can also be designed as a point that is designed to yield.
Perforations can be applied at additional or other yield points which can be
chosen freely in accordance with the wishes of the customer so as to be able
to accommodate any type of individual design.
